I have used the filter a few times since I purchased it and have been happy with the performance so far. It was easy to use out of the box and quick to assemble. The quick fit connectors are designed so you can use them with a Camelbak or similar water bladder. I found that the size difference between the hose made it so i could just slide one into the other (I have a semi-newer Camelbak) and not use the quick fit though they were still handy on the filter side connections.

The removable and cleanable water filter protector has been unnecessary so far since the water has come from clear streams. The pump action moved water pretty quickly and has an easy to grip handle. I did notice it pumps in only one direction as my old sweetwater pumped both ways though it did not really seem to take any longer to fill things up.

I will post further reviews on this water filter after more field tests, but so far I am real happy with it. The construction seems solid and I look forward to getting some good use out of the Hiker Pro. It takes up some more space than the old Sweetwater but not so much as to be a problem.
